You won t need any super special tools for the job. Their appearance signals their discovery of an opening in or around the outside frame that holds the doors in place. If you squash the mites and they leave a reddish stain they are most likely clover mites a common harmless but aggravating critter that tends to invade windows. To prevent stains on your woodwork simply vacuum these and call it good.

Bleach can be just as harmful to humans as it is to bugs so be very careful when using this technique. That being said this is a surefire way to get rid of gnats near your drains.
